Naftohaz Head Andrii Koboliev expects this trial to take more time and be much more difficult than the litigation against Gazprom in the Stockholm Court of Arbitration.
Naftohaz Ukrainy has filed a lawsuit to the international court against Russia regarding damage inflicted to the company due to the loss of its assets located in the occupied territory of Crimea. Head of the state-owned holding Andrii Koboliev said, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.
“We have filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation to receive reimbursement not only for oil rigs, but all the assets that Naftohaz has lost in Crimea due to the Russian occupation, or those assets which we temporarily do not have access to. For example, the assets engaged in oil and gas production in the territory of Crimea and on the shelf,” he said on air of Channel 5 Wednesday night.
According to him, the trial will take more time and will be much more difficult than the litigation against Gazprom in the Stockholm Court of Arbitration.
“As it involves elements of military operations and the defendant is not a commercial organization, as Gazprom in our first case, but the state – the Russian Federation,” Andrii Koboliev said. (censor.net.ua)
